Role Overview
Job Summary:
We're on the lookout for a reliable, hard-working Cleaner to join our team at Piccadilly! You'll be a key player in keeping our space spotless, safe, and inviting for everyone—from the people we
support to staff and visitors. If you thrive in a friendly, semi-outdoor environment and love making things shine, this could be the ideal job for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Indoor Cleaning & Maintenance
- Sweep, mop, hoover, dust, clean
- Clean and sanitise the welfare block, including sinks, toilets, and floors.
- Wipe down and disinfect surfaces, furniture, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment in the activity cabins.
- Clean windows.
- Clean the offices and storage cabins.
- Empty and dispose of rubbish and recycling in a timely manner.
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
- Outdoor .
- Assist with cleaning outdoor playground equipment and seating areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards.
- Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all cleaning activities follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for disabled adults.
- Follow good practice with regard to Infection Prevention Control.
- Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance needs to the Manager..
- Other Duties
- Assist with occasional special cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning of activity cabins.
- Work collaboratively with staff to support a positive atmosphere at Piccadilly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or role, preferably in a community setting desirable.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and infection prevention control practices.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. The weekend hours are lone working.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to engage with Piccadilly’s mission of providing a safe, nurturing space for disabled adults.
